City of Spokane and Avista matching donations for low-income family utility needs

< All Topics

The City of Spokane and Avista announced March 31 that they will each match $1 for every dollar donated to Project Share and U-Help as relief for families affected by layoffs during this difficult time.

That means, for every dollar you donate, the programs will receive two more dollars.

Distributed through SNAP, Project Share helps families pay heating bills, receive fuel or get repairs to their furnaces. U-Help, administered by the Salvation Army, helps families pay their water, garbage, wastewater and stormwater utility bills.

If you would like to donate, visit spokaneutilityhelp.org. If you or any of your employees need help, contact SNAP at 509-456-SNAP or call the Salvation Army at 509-325-6821.
