[Legal memo] Issues to consider regarding mandatory coronavirus vaccine policies

The National Restaurant Association said Jan 22, 2021, the Restaurant Law Center created a document to address questions surrounding mandatory vaccine policies.

As a best practice, restaurants should encourage all employees to get the coronavirus vaccine when it becomes available, the association said. However, some restaurants are considering going further by mandating it for certain employees. The guidance addresses legal questions raised by those wanting to go the extra step by mandating the coronavirus vaccine as a condition of employment.
