Spokane County small businesses will soon have access to free PPE
Help is on the way for Spokane County businesses and non-profit organizations that require masks, hand sanitizers and Plexiglas screens for their workplaces. The Spokane County Commissioners have authorized spending $1 million of federal coronavirus relief money to purchase the Personal Protective Equipment which will be free to businesses with fewer than 49 employees.
Details are being worked out, but the program will be administered by Spokane County and Greater Spokane Incorporated in conjunction with a regional workgroup. Employers will be able to reserve the PPE and sanitizer and pick them up later. More details about the program and pick up locations will be available next week.
