Tacoma Pierce County Grants for Small Business Open Sept. 9

Applications for $5,000 grants open September 9 through the Tacoma Pierce County Economic Development Board. Federal CARES Act dollars provided through the state Department of Commerce are being used to design a new program to support Pierce County community organizations and small businesses. In total $580,250 in CARES Act dollars have been allocated to the program, with $90,250 going to community organizations and $490,000 available for small businesses through $5,000 grants.

The $5,000 grants are for small businesses and organizations which have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.  The grants can be used for a range of business purposes. There are some restrictions, and the grant applications will only be open for a short period of time, launching September 9 at 10 am, and closing September 20 and 5 pm. To learn more, click here.
