Update: March 23, 2020

Stay Home, Stay Healthy statewide order

Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee issued a proclamation on March 23 ordering all Washingtonians to stay at home except for essential tasks or duties. 

This ban goes into effect after 48 hours and will last at least two weeks, with the possibility of being expanded. Under this ban, food delivery and takeout as well as hotel operations continue to be considered essential and will be allowed to continue.  

All non-essential businesses must be closed during this time or else operate via telework.  

Even essential businesses must implement rules that help facilitate social distancing between individuals of at least six feet. Food banks and food pantries that are essential services will remain open.  

The association will continue to provide updates and clarifying details as quickly as we are able.  

Municipality and County Stay-in-Place Orders

The following municipalities and counties have issued stay-at-home orders. So far, these orders are not impacting hospitality operations.

Yakima County Stay-at-Home Order

Pacific County Beach and Hospitality Closures: in response to a high number of tourists, Pacific County issued an order to close all beach approaches until further notice. The county has also issued a closure of hospitality lodging for the purpose of tourism. Business lodging is still an option. This order includes hotels, motels, short-term rentals, campgrounds, RV parks and more.
