Second Quarter (April, May, June) Paid Family and Medical Leave reports are due on July 31 for Washington employers along with unemployment insurance and other quarterly tax payments.
Before you submit your report, the Washington State Employment Security Department (ESD) recommends logging into your account and checking a few things:
- Make sure your contact information is accurate
- Review the status of your previously filed reports.
If you have issues with your previous quarter’s reports, you will need to correct them before you submit your second quarter reports. If you’re logged in to your account, your status should be notated as processed. If it is listed as pending, submitted, or rejected, you cannot yet file this quarter’s report. If you are new to filing, there are a number of tools you can use on the Paid Family and Medical Leave website including a help page and a premium calculator to estimate the amount you will owe.
