On April 16, three counties move back into Phase 2 of the governor’s Healthy Washington—Roadmap to Recovery Plan.
In Phase 2, movie theaters can operate at 25% capacity, or 200 people, whichever is fewer, if everyone can maintain six feet of physical distancing.

For movie theaters in Phase 3 counties, you’ll need to know the following:
Phase 3
- Movie theaters in Phase 3 can operate at 50% capacity, or 400 people, whichever is fewer.
- Parties of no more than 10 people are permitted to sit next to one another.
- There is no household restriction.
Reminder
Movie theater operators must still comply with safety and health requirements for all phases. Read the complete guidance here.
